This photograph shows Cuban runner Felix Carvajal.
Carvajal quit his job as a postman
and raised the necessary funds needed to get to the Games,
only to lose all the money in a crap game in New Orleans.
He can be seen here in his cut-off shirt and pants with his trademark
beret.
Photograph scanned from the book The Complete Book
of the Olympics.
